This was the second dam commissioned by the Wynberg Municipality on the top of Table Mountain.  It was also designed by Thomas Stewart and built by John Delbridge.  By far the shallowest of the dams, it has a maximum depth of only 6,4 metres.

Water from the Victoria is discharged into the 'Alex' as the levels in that dam drop, and from there it flows down to the De Villiers.  These three consecutive dams on the Disa were at one time the pride of the Wynberg Municipality's Waterworks and kept the people of that area supplied with fresh, sweet water for many years.
