Notes:

The dam wall was completed in 1957, and is in the Wemmershoek River.

Radial gates at the Wemmershoek Dam has recently been refurbished.  The infrastructure was installed in 1958 and because of a stringent maintenance and monitoring programme, this is the first major refurbishment has been required on the gates. (Ref 1)

Water at  the Wemmershoek dam is of the highest quality since there is no upstream agricultural pollution or human activity. (Ref 1)
