Heuningnes: Climate


 

Precipitation
The Heuningnes river and its catchment lie within a Mediterranean climatic region, receiving most of the rainfall in the winter from about May to September and characterised by a warm to hot and dry summer. The mean annual rainfall over most of the catchment is between 400 and 600 mm, with a mean annual precipitation of 447 mm for the Heuningnes drainage system. (Ref 2)

Average daily temperatures:
January - Maximum 28 C and Minimum 15 C

July - Maximum 17 C and Minimum 6 C

Sunshine duration varies from about 60 % of the possible duration in July to over 70 % in January.  (Ref 2)
