The mouth of the Groen is situated approximately 31 km to the south of the Bitter River mouth, 66 km south of Hondeklipbaai and 267 km to the south of the Orange River mouth. (Ref 1) | ||||||
| Accessible by a 72 km gravel road from Garies. Although the estuary falls within the prospecting zones of De Beers Consolidated Diamond Mines, the mouth area is open to the public and no permits are required. (Ref 1) | |||||||
