Recreation
On the southern side of the mouth is the camping site which is on state land developed and controlled by the Namaqualand Divisional Council.  Many corrugated iron "kleinhuisies", rubbish drums, cement braai places and brightly coloured standing caravans largely dominated the campsite setting in an unsightly manner at the time of the ECRU survey.  About 300 people camp at the Groen in season and fewer over long week-ends.   (Ref 1)
Recreation angling and crayfishing during holiday periods. (Ref 1)
