HYDROLOGY
Due to the high sedimentation rates in the sub-area, the original yields of the dams may be substantially reduced. Furthermore, accurate flow gauging data is not available for many of the rivers in the former Ciskei and Transkei, resulting in hydrological calculations with a low degree of confidence. (Ref 1)
