HYDROLOGY
Main industrial areas draining into the Jukskei River system include Sebenza, Spartan and Chloorkop in the Modderfontein Spruit catchment, and Kew, Wynberg and Marlboro surrounding Alexandra. (www.ewt.org.za/news_fullstory.aspx?newsID=441)
The Jukskei River has a total catchment area of approximately 15.7 km2 and drains into the Limpopo River via the Hennops River and the Crocodile River. The mean annual runoff from the quaternary catchment of this river is approximately 3 000 000 – 4 000 000 m3 / annum (Midgley et al. 1990).     GEOHYDROLOGY
The geology underlying the site has been altered through the presence of joints and fractures and the groundwater potential has been enhanced. Secondary aquifers have formed within the fault zones and diabase contacts.(www.sefsa.co.za/Scoping%20Report_Public%20Review_Huddle%20Park.pdf)
