TOPOGRAPHY
The topography of the area is mostly flat.

The Soutpansberg range, with an altitude of over 1700 m, intrudes into the Sand River catchment and forms the upper reaches of the Nwanedi River catchments.  (Ref 1)

The topography of the area is characterised by mountain ranges surrounded by very flat areas which offer very few suitable dam sites. (Ref 1)
    GEOLOGY                                    
In the north you find the Soutpansberg Group rocks, of which the Soutpansberg Range and Blouberg mountains form a part.(Ref 1)
    SOILS                                    
In the Soutpansberg area, the soil type is clayey loam. (Ref 1)
