Boegoeberg Dam 19.8 The Boegoeberg Dam was constructed in the 30's mainly to provide water for irrigation (Boegoeberg irrigation scheme)/
 

Gariep Dam 5340.6 The Gariep Dam is a combined gravity/arch dam and the wall is approximately 90 m high. The dam supplies water to the Sundays/Fish Rivers via a tunnel. The dam was completed in 1971.
 

Katze Dam   Katse Dam in the Senqu River in Lesotho, used for transfer of water to the Vaal water management area. Mohale Dam, in the same area, started to impound water in 2003. This dam is also used to transfer water to the Vaal water management area.
