| Evaporation during summer amounts to over 40% of the total annual evaporation. Evaporation has a direct influence on the amount of run-off from a catchment as more precipitation is lost through evaporation than through stream flow or storage combined. (Ref 2) | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| The simulated mean annual run-off from the catchment is 39,10 million m3 of which 57% occurs within the months of May, June, July and August. June has the highest annual run-off accounting for 16,2% of the total, whereas February with 2,8% has the least. (Ref 2) | |||||||||||||||||||||||
