The major tributary of the Olifants River is the Doring River, draining the Bokkeveld Mountains and entering the Olifants south of Klawer.
The Hol River which is the lower section after the confluence of the Soutrivier and the Varsrivier. The Hol river enters the Olifants at Lutzville.
Rondegat River, drainingthe Cedar Mountains and flow into the Clanwilliam dam.
The Troe-Troe River, draining the Matsikama Mountains and the area east of Van Rhynsdorp. The Troe-Troe enters the Olifants at Vredendal.
